Character selection menu with animated hover effects and click effects, The menu is populated from data assets that contain information about each of the selectable classes. The data assets contain the class name, description, image, primary weapon and secondary weapon,
The material animations are driven by material parameters tied to sequencer animations. This allows the animations to quickly modified and reworked in editor by a designer. They will have full control off each of the animated masking overlays that are available in the umg sequencer.
The character art is ai generated and used only to help sell the proof of concept.

Theme - Arcade and Occult Classic
Game Jam was completed by a 4-person team. This was a 2d local 4 player battle game where you play as characters from the 80s movie Big Trouble in Little China. Players collect items and level up to use their ultimate attack like summoning a semi-truck or a giant fireball.
I setup the framework for the game and implemented the menus, gameplay, destructibles, game modes, player controllers, and pawns.. Another member of the team setup all the animations and character movements. Additionally, there were 2 artists that created all the character art and backgrounds for the game.

I made this Project over the course of a few hours as a joke for some coworkers. The goal of this project was to experiment with local co-op. The game is played by two teams of 4 players each. Each player controls a piece of the burger. Every member on the team must make the same inputs at the same time to move the burger.
The biggest take away from this project is that syncing 8 controllers/devices to the same machine is annoying and trying to coordinate with 4 other players is so difficult it becomes unfun.

This project uses online networked multiplayer setup using unreal engine blueprints.
This is a team-based game where each team is racing to complete 5 randomly selected objectives to reveal who is the leader of the opposing team. The detectives are trying to arrest the crime boss and the criminals are trying to steal the evidence from the lead detective.
The game has a variety of different objectives for each team to complete.
Objectives fall into several different categories:
Collect
Destroy
Kill
Search
Interact
The score board tracks kills, deaths, and objective completion by all players and bots.
Kills in the kill feed show who killed who and what weapon was used.
The bots can complete objectives or kill the player to slow down their progress towards completing their objectives.
A dynamic wall system that allows the wall and floor obstructing the camera to become transparent. This system helps keep the camera maintain a set distance when entering buildings or changing floors.
This game uses a health and regenerating shield system similar to other modern games. When a player or bot is killed they respawn after the respawn timer expires.
The game supports a variety of weapons ranging from pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, snipers, and grenades. Each weapon has different characteristics, rate of fire, damage, bullet magnetism, reload speeds, and ammo capacities.
In this game when you reload your weapon you lose whatever was left in the magazine. This design decision was to encourage the player to reload when they are out of ammo to waste less bullets.
This uses a server browser plugin to load players into peer to peer game sessions. The game browser code was extended to allow for adding and removing bots to each team.

Theme - Deception
Game Jam game I worked on with 3 other people. I did the environment art for this title and some of the SFX in this flash game. In this game the main character wakes up in the future and you need to destroy futuristic objects to keep your denial meter from running out. All the sound effect and music were made with human voices.
